David Muir ended the coverage tonight on the run for Eliza with a statement that runners shouldn't run alone. Many of the run participants were very vocal early on about criticisms voiced that Eliza shouldn't have been running alone, at that hour, or wearing the clothes she wore.
Eliza should have been able to run alone and so should other Americans. She should also have been able to go to a grocery store, or drop her children off at school without an entourage. Make a statement that addresses enforcement of the laws, and the need to create stricter ones for violent crimes. Recidivism is rampant.
I live in a safe city on the outskirts of Memphis and avoid going into Memphis unless I absolutely have to. There is not an armed police officer in my Kroger Grocery Store. Walk into downtown Memphis Kroger and you will see an officer with a gun.
