This film is a solid origin story/introduction to the superhero universe. With interesting characters, a charismatic cast and a excellent source material, X-Men is a movie that was a joy to re-watch. While the action choreography was weak, especially compared to today's standard, it was still highly entertaining.
The highlight of this film is the villain. With clear motivations and an immediate empathetic pull, Magneto sets the standard for calculated, diabolical plans. X-Men is a great start to a legendary universe and left a strong legacy. However, I like this movie more due to nostalgia than actual cinematic strengths.
