Violence wins

You know how they say "love conquers all"? Well no pun intended, but that might not always be the case or the truth for that matter. Actually even though Bronson is with his wife here (he did a couple of movies with her apparently, I have to do some (re)watching to do I assume), it is not like there is love lost.

This movie lives off the performance from Bronson. He does not speak much - but his look is what made him. His face is what you know - he may not have been popular at the time, but he became later. Same goes for the I think at the time already popular Savalas. Telly Savalas that is and not the brother who also is in the movie. Come to think of it, they may have similar screen time. Still Telly makes more of it - but he also is not the number one man here. That spot remains and is occupied by Bronson.

There is more than a touch of darkness. And the movie and the timeline shifting is not the easiest to digest. And probably not something that can be considered a lot of peoples cup of tea. The title has already the violence in it - there is also a small amount of nudity in it.

A weird european thriller, that while flawed has many strengths to it too. You just have to see them.
