Here the Spanish try their hand at a biopic, this time celebrating the life and achievements of a famous conquistador named Balboa. This was shot in Panama so it has authentic surroundings, but the story is so one-sided as to feel like a comic book. The native characters barely feature other than an artificial native girl who's just there for some queasy romance. There are a few reasonable battles along the way but mostly this is pretty talky and pretty dull.
