Review of The Boys

The Boys (2019– )
3/10
Writing in Season 3 is sloppy

Warning: Spoilers
A lot of incohesive plots seem to be disconnected with prior seasons in the 3rd season.

Kimiko has been tagged along with the boys for so long and when she's in Russia, suddenly she didn't want to be "Butcher's gun"? Everyone, including us the audience, knows she's only good for killing, but only does she not know that.

Frenchie's rebellious attitude against Butcher was forced. After the Nina kidnap incident which supposedly indicated that he has issues being reined, he came back and sided with M&M instantly with the comment " Butcher screwed us". How so?

M&M was supposed to be the most level-headed character but totally lost his cool and wanted to go against soldier boy. He's not a supe, has no power and on top of that he had to take it out on Butcher who obviously just used soldier boy. He just couldn't wait a little moment longer. Even Kimiko is not that dumb. The worse part he's riding on his high horse the entire season.

Starlight is another annoying princess who's always talking and talking but changes nothing. Really don't appreciate her trying to twist Hughie's intention of protecting her into Hughier's doing the V24 for selfish reasons.

Butcher's lashing out at Ryan is just convenient plot to push him towards Homelander.

Hughie and Maeve are the only two characters in season 3 that are consistent and make sense.

Both A-train and Deep's storylines are boring. A-train is way past redeeming line like Homelander. Deep is an un-funny comic relief. I guess he's kept for his pretty face.

Last but not least, this show seems voices against racism, but the only two Asian supes are either blind/deaf(Blindspot) or mute(Kimiko). How ironic.
