Repost now a second season seems unlikely.

I originally posted this review against the final episode, when it felt like this might be an ongoing show. Now that seems unlikely, I thought I'd repost the review here.

Kim Noakes (Maisie Williams) has grown up in a remote hidden farmhouse with her mother. She sneaks away from the house with a plan, she'll experience the real world for two weeks, culminating in assassinating the man who killed her father years previously, then head back. On her first night she runs into brothers Nicky (Mawaan Rizwan) and Jay (Taheen Modak) who inadvertently convince her the world is in such a state that she'll need to expedite her plan.

I feel like "Two Weeks to Live" was a perfectly fine diversion for a couple of hours - but wasn't ever really funny, or dramatic, or surprising, or clever enough that I'd recommend actively hunting it down. Maisie Williams is alright as the lead, but her character, the wideeyed innocent, who can beat up anyone who crosses her - does feel like I've seen it before. Nicky and Jay too are OK, there's some humorous moments between them - but ultimately the smart nerd / dumb jock roles they play are a little clichéd too. Same with Sean Pertwee's mob boss, Jason Flemings corrupt cop and Sian Clifford as Kim's mother - again, nobody is bad it's just their characters aren't very original.

And that really is the whole show for me, it's not great - but it's not terrible either and at just six twenty five minute episodes it never outstays its welcome or lets you sit with its limitations.
