Not your usual vampire film. It's set in Africa and the vampire is not a count but runs a bar in a coastal village, whom you never see biting anyone and who has a melancholic air that's rather sad. The vampire Webb Fallon is played very well by John Abbot, good use being made of the actor's low-key manner contrasting with his striking eyes. It's not a horror film as such but a drama with one of the characters happening to be a vampire. The supporting cast are adequate apart from Adele Mara as Lisa whose dance in the bar fairly sizzles on the screen. With her around am surprised Fallon took an interest in the bland Julie Vance character. There is a lot of drumming heard which adds to the tense ambience.
The movie's title is a trifle meaningless but apart from that this is a surprisingly good watch.
