Very odd, and uncomfortable episode. Andy is imposed apon. Helen looks bonkers. Lovely Gloria (Jan Shutan) uses poor judgement getting too close to Andy. The premise of an unrelated beautiful young lady living at Andy's home to get away from a broken relationship is totally ridiculous. The Taylors barely even know her. She didn't have a girlfriend or a female relative she could stay with or go on a trip with?
The script was so flimsy Helen (Aneta Corsaut) was made over-the-top jealous to give the story some depth. Without that there'd be not much story. Goober added some humor. But even his character was made a creepy tightwad.
Really a dud episode. Goobers dancing, Andy's singing, crew member coughing when Andy asks for more coffee at the dinner table livened things up a little. Silly, flat epilogue where Andy drags Frank to town. Season 5 has so many classic episodes. This stinker sticks out like a sore thumb.
