Netflix had an opportunity to really do something fun and interesting and different with this take on the classic "supernatural forbidden love" trope, but the poor writing and shoddy production really killed this show. First person voiceovers are very hard to do well and come off more cringe-y than anything here, plus the terrible music direction reveals how out of touch the producers are with what their demographic wants or how to appropriately use and place music to help create an atmosphere. I don't think anyone working on this project knew what they were doing, or understood the themes and direction of the show.
Sapphics deserve better than this.
