Review of Bubble

Bubble (2022)
6/10
Beautiful Visual but Story is Shallow
1 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
80% of the Movie is not even about the main plot or explaining what is happening with the bubbles. Well if it's not about that then it must be about the character development right? I don't mind slice of life type, but No, barely any Character development . At one point it feels like a male fantasy story, doing super cool looking Parkour and having a girl that will die for you. The only development the MC make is talking about his past to a girl that can't even speak properly. Why did he do it? Who knows? He just start sharing his past. So the main thing here is Parkour, beautiful storyboardS, and the animation team is on point. Okay, but why do they do Parkour? Not only that but they risk their lives running through collapsing buildings. Must be something really serious to risk your life like that right? Like food? Like territory? Or something? No nothing just for fun and some snack and cola. Because only Tokyo is affected so if they need food that bad they probably won't live there. So they don't do it for survivor reasons then what is the reason? They literally kidnap a girl to challenge another team for Parkou. And no one thinks it's a big deal. They just see her on there and think let Parkou, Idk maybe Parkou, and send some people on the side to save her the same time and not let her hang there. Not the other team has guard or anything. And for the last time, why do they doing all this? Yeah for view and male fantasy about doing cool Parkour and saving a girl. Uta is cute and cool and good at Parkour. Maybe I'm the one being shallow but in the end, j love the animation and hate the story. Waste of talented animator and cool environment.
