At the time, CBS was severely affected by the writers strike in the US. CBS simply rehashed the better episodes from the original series and produced them in Australia. I was thrilled to see the MI show come back, but soon had the feeling that I had seen the episodes before. However, it was still fun to set aside an hour on early Saturday evening to see a "new" show rather than to watch another rerun of some other show.
