A confusing but entertaining story of jade and spies jostling in Shanghai with nightclub owner Roy Bonnell trying to be independent but eventually being drawn into the plots by a voluptuous woman Kay Murdock who may or may not be a spy. The acting is good all round. My favourite characters were the ambiguous Fu Yen played with easy charm by Victor Sen Yung and the gallant Kay perfectly thesped by the delicious Lynn Bari. The dialogue is well written and the music score adequate. Not quite 'Casablanca' but entertaining enough.
