I know Méliès was the first do achieve a lot in cinema, but wow his use of practical effects here are rather genius.... even the hazer in the background... I'm feeling like that's got to be a first here too (or at least one of). This was really intricate in production design, and the large cast ensemble keeps this really fun and authentic.
