Warning: Spoilers
This it's probably one of those loony is TV movies I've ever seen, a Sci-Fi Adventure featuring Christopher George as a super spy how to uncover the truth about the deceased brother of William Windom, a brother who ain't quite dead. In fact, he's played by the wild and crazy John Vernon who has made a career out of playing either imperious authoritarians or wacko villains who seem like they're a mad scientist out of the 1940's serial. Vernon is the later in this movie, having survived an explosion and having oatmeal pasted on the side of his face to represent a scar.

Lots of other strange cameos in this movie including an odd-looking Gloria Grahame, Avery Schreiber in a very serious role and William Schallert as a ruthless senator who is out to protect his wife (Grahame). There's also some very odd set pieces, including a wacky basement that looks like something out of Get Smart and a haunted house ride that looks like it's the entrance to that wacky basement. There's plenty of action and silly dialogue, and if this was indeed meant to be a pilot, I'm grateful that it got nipped in the bud.
