The faster we get into this review the sooner it will be done. I know, dad joke level pun, but here we go.
The movie starts with a guy named Driver (Dwayne Johnson) getting out of prison. He immediately goes to pick up an early-70's Chevelle, drives to an office building, and promptly shoots one of the employees in the head. It was a heckuva beginning.
We find that Driver has a hit list based upon those responsible for the death of his brother. The Bakersfield P. D. are on his tail being led by Cicero (Carla Gugino) and Slade Humphries aka Cop (Billy Bob Thornton). Also after Driver is an assassin who's been hired to kill him known as Killer (Oliver Jackson-Cohen).
As you can imagine, Driver is a beast. He's determined to get his targets and nothing's going to stop him. I think the movie gets a little soft in the end and it certainly gets a bit predictable. This is one of those one and done movies. No need to watch it twice.
