Police Rescue (1994)
4/10
A disappointment

Warning: Spoilers
This film was a spin-off from a popular television series, Police Rescue, and the majority of the cast come from that series, most notably Gary Sweet as the alpha-male leader Mickey McClintock.

Zoe Carides plays the newcomer, Lorrie Gordon, who Mickey spends most of the film trying to figure out whether she was involved her ex-partner/ex-lover's corrupt deals. The team are involved in a number of spectacular rescues, and Lorrie and Mickey start to become romantically involved, but Mickey can't help suspecting her as well.

It's quite good as an action film, with plenty of rescues in popular Sydney locales, but the film suffers from a rubbery script and the romantic scenes don't really ring true.

Sweet and Carides have both given better performances than this. The film definitely looks more like a TV film than something ready for the cinema.
