If you thought the first House was silly, nothing can prepare you for the amount of silliness going on in House II. It plays less like a horror comedy than a fluffy family adventure film with cowboy corpses, playful dogs, and other fun creatures. It can never really get a handle on what it's going for and the threats never seem serious enough to stay invested.
