Although Seven Years in Tibet certainly wasn't a short movie, it felt rushed. This is an epic story which requires a slow build.
Brad Pitt is just awful in this movie. His accent is really off-putting and he just seemed uninterested in the role.
It's really such a pity. Hopefully one day someone makes this film the right way, however it's unlikely with China's power over the movie industry these days.
