A successful sequel to Re-Animator
28 September 2021
This can be considered a successful sequel to Re-Animator. In it we see the increasingly bizarre experiments of mad scientist Herbert West, played once again excellently with perfect deadpan humour by Jeffrey Combs; David Gale also returns in a hilarious performance as a flying head. The effects work too is very impressive indeed, with things going haywire in the finale which pays homage to a couple of 30's classics in Bride of Frankenstein and Island of Lost Souls. All-in-all, this is way above par for a horror sequel and definitely extends the original story nicely.
