The paint moguls of the Moore family have been shellacking.the U. S. hero of our Revolutionary War--Captain Henry Livingston--for two centuries now, trying to credit a nefarious (if totally dim-witted) Tory member of their ilk with the authorship of Livingston's masterpiece. Obviously, it would have opened a big can of eels if these cartoonists had used more of A VISIT FROM SAINT NICK and incurred the obligation to credit the original screenwriter. No one wants to incur the wrath of the litigious (though thoroughly deluded and discredited) Moores.
