Ok. Let's start with that I'm here in 2021 and there are still not enough lesbian movies that don't just exploit the characters and/or the community . And that have a freaking HAPPY ENDING!
What a heartwarming movie. The struggles are real, the quotes are on point and the disapproving -almost mothers and communities as well!
I love the chemistry of the characters and I also love the complexity of Francis-the bad guy. Also I find very sweet the way that the town kinda accepts Kay. Keep in mind that the movie takes place in the 50s (?) So that's even more amazing.
You just KNOW when the director of a movie is female! Especially when there are love scenes involved, especially gay ones!
