Film adaptations ruin great books and that's understandable because they have a limited time to tell a lot, and attempts to convey the most impressive paragraphs of a book through dialogues do not always yield positive results. Books on psychology and philosophy are not the best option for movie adaptations, that's no surprise but it seems like they put an outrageous effort to ruin Irvin Yalom's masterpiece.
