The movie was excellent! Surprising amount of negative ratings. After watching it, I reviewed the English and Russian Wikipedia entries on Devyataev and one thing is for sure - knowing Russia in that time - the greatest "luck" he had was the maps in the stolen plane. Were it not for them, he might not have survived what waited for him at home. I truly appreciated the prisoner of war situation Russians found themselves in the WWII.
