Beautifully portrayed in an ordinary and solid Hollywood production that blends a seamless script with a top-notch casting , elegant period gowns and lovely photography and music . Everything about this colorful film is attractive , from the lavish period costumes to the agreeable screenplay and particularly the magnificent interpretations by the glorious cast. Special mention for June Allyson who is excellent as the tomboy , unconventional sister who is also the strongest one . A must-see for fans of Alcott and others will find it charming.
