Ok-ish

Quite a nice omagge to the cult movie of 1981 -and the book of 1978-. A true editorial case back in the days. Everybody from Europe can truly find some (some) nice clue of the original atmospheric situation of both the original cults.

Actors are finally ... actors -but unprofessional young students in the original movie had some effectiveness-, but everything is too glossy.

In fact it is a situation staged in the present time, just without mobile phones.

The music, the style, and everything related to the historic ambient, the atmosphere has been mixed up: Bowie tracks at the sound, but a Techno by a Star DJ that back then was not even a thing, backtoback .

Yeah the music is ... back from the future (ep1 is just a bit better from this point of view).

Therefore, the 6 main characters made a travel in the late '70s, but every now and then they come back.

Heroin experience is told in a too fast, too unrealistic way.

Everything could have been used better, without the risk of pushing away the younger public, if more attention would had been used for the vintage aspects of the production.

A nice nostalgic operation, nice idea mediocre execution. Please watch it ONLY if already had the original, not the other way around.

Ciao.
