The reasoning behind the cast especially the main character who is supposed to be an Afghan is portrayed by an South African Indian, who neither looks, talks or acts like a native Afghan. What is the point of the show if you won't cast a real Afghan? The fact that the creators didn't want a European looking Afghan is mockery of intelligence of viewers.
