A rabbit-like creature looks up at an hourglass and realizes that time is running out. He puts together materials and begins to create a recreation of himself. He makes a head with eyes, teeth, ears, and so on. As he works, he sees the sand running through the hourglass. When the thing is finished he must do something to animate it.
