Passionata (1992 TV Movie)
8/10
Not the full symphony

Definitely had the look and feel of a TV movie. The lead characters did have chemistry but needed a little more character building at the start, the movie just gets straight into it! The piano playing appeared authentic and was lovely to listen to, some to the incidental background score worked against the dialogue and really wasn't in keeping with the subject matter and style of the movie. I never bought her ex-husband as a political figure and the movie suffered in authenticity whenever this character was on screen. A little cliched at times and the dialogue was quite one-level, but I engaged with it as a movie, the ending was not exactly what I was expecting and the 80 minutes running time flew by.
