Housewife Penny Holmes (Laurien Dominique at her most lovely, radiant, and appealing) is sexually frustrated because her shrink husband Dr. John Holmes (well-endowed porn legend John Holmes) can't get an erection. Brash neighbor Linda Lou (sharply played by Candida Royalle) tries to help out, but only makes things worse while poor Patty (fetching Joan Devlon) suffers from hysterical blindness.
Director Bob Chinn keeps the enjoyably inane story moving along at a zippy pace as well as maintains an amiable tongue-in-cheek tone throughout, with a crazy group therapy session that gets totally out of control rating as the definite gut-busting comic highlight. Dominique and Royalle both have a field day with John Thomas Chapman's wacky script; they receive lively support from Jon Martin as peeping tom paperboy Willard, Paul Thomas as a crude, proud, and aggressive janitor, Ken Scudder as straight-laced stud Fred, Dale Meador as the cheerful Reverend Hope, Carl Regal as a morose milkman, and Joey Silvera as an irate guy in a wheelchair. Armand Steiger's perfectly cornball organ music score hits the deliciously cheesy spot. A total hoot.
