Who's bio was it

Warning: Spoilers
I just watched this movie and there are some questions about it. This movie I think was written in his best judgement. Casting John Schneider in the lead role was a bad choice, he's a decent actor but all his movies has that Bo Duke look. The kids older took their parents divorce much harder than the younger kids and that alone is a question. I felt this movie wasn't about Michael Landon but more about Jr. and his struggles. I read a few where he was busted for drug's yet it's never mentioned here. Their parents divorce wasn't that ugly as it looked in the movie. You see Landon Sr. on sets maybe three times yet he spent hours on set. Landon and his wife grew apart cause he was never home.

Was it a good movie, I've seen better bio pic's for TV that made this one look cheesey. This guy was involved in 3 hit TV shows that he virtually ran himself so his talent was through the roof. I would like to see a movie where it is spot on and not washed up like this one was. It all boils down to it being just another TV movie and nothing more. We all know he passes on so this so-called tear-jerker punch just wasn't there. It does get a bit mellow dramatic but I'm sure this could have been much better than what it was. Even the acting wasn't all that, I say watch his TV shows and avoid this one.
