Review of The Tax Collector

Saw the trailer a few days ago, which I disliked, and I saw 4,7 stars here, so the expectations were low. Thought poor Shea has made a poor choice to be in a B- class action movie. But I was wrong. Shea's portrayal of a crazy cartel hit man, who is doing trendy lsd micro dosing, eats healthy, meditates and is probably in to existential philosophy was great, most of the other characters felt quite authentic. While of course the movie is not without some flaws, some moments I would want to redo and rewrite, overall I enjoyed it. If you have enjoyed some of previous Ayer's works in the past, while not "Training Day", this is certainly worth to see. I'll give it a 7, just to balance out the hate, otherwise it is a 6 to 6.5 for me.
