Such a great series, I entered into viewing this with no expectations and it blew me away. There is nothing like it that springs to mind and that's what sets it apart.
I'm not familiar with any of the actors or their previous respective work and thoroughly enjoyed the portrayal of their characters.
It's hard to pigeon hole what exactly this series is but if you're after some light entertainment which has drama, action and maybe even a little romance then buckle up and get ready to enjoy ten episodes that will leave you wanting more.
I'd almost describe it as full metal jacket meets chuck crossed with cobra kai (an army based series with an underdog loveable loser as the lead with some teenage will they won't they drama/romanticism mixed in for good measure).
The best way to enjoy this would be to just sit down, grab a brew and don't try to take it seriously - if you do try you'll be sadly missing the point of the show! (Oh and the Russians were great - especially Dr Phil!!)
