Wet Season (2019)
7/10
Well directed loneliness
16 December 2020
After watching 'Ilo Ilo', I was eager for more, from Director Chen so I watched his latest movie, 'Wet Season'.

Although a bigger budget gave him better cinemaphotography, he again delivered a simple story that can be related to.

With the theme of loneliness, it's about a married Chinese teacher, her Singaporean student and her ill father-in-law. Few Western filmmakers could handle this plot so subtly.
