Tell me doctor, where are we going this time?

'Doc Hollywood (1991)' tells the tale of a big-city doctor who crashes into the fence of a small-town judge and must serve community service at the local hospital, interrupting his plans to attend an interview to become a plastic surgeon in California. While he's there, he gets to know the various townsfolk around him and makes a few friends that he may just struggle to leave behind. It's simple stuff, but it works well enough. Even though you more-or-less know exactly where it's going to go, it's an enjoyable experience throughout. It's helped immensely by Fox's affable lead performance, which always feels genuine and provides a handful of laughs. His character undergoes a rather strong arc, too. There's not all that much more to say; it's just a good time. 7/10
