The character played by Amanda Redman is one of those people we're told to admire but who, in actuality, is a nightmare to be around. She's pompous, self-righteous, and doesn't care about anyone but herself. She's only tolerable if everyone acknowledges she's the coolest kid on the block and knows more than they do. When she's wrong or misses a diagnosis, she becomes vicious and it always somehow turns out to be someone else's fault. Halfway through Season 2, it's become too excruciating to keep pretending.
