I probably would have liked this when I was 7 (SPOILER)

Warning: Spoilers
I love Yul and the bad dialog or fights scenes are not his fault. In every fight scene, the bad guy takes a slow punch over Yul's head, giving him plenty of time to either punch the guy in the stomach or stab him in the stomach. These are really awful episodic TV fights. At no point do you believe anyone has any fighting skills in this movie.

Lots of exposition and cliched bad guys and the whole thing was filmed in a block in the studio back lot (I mean, it truly looks like a studio backlot). The opening and closing credits show stills of bad parts of New York to emphasize "apocalypse" but they look pretty dumb.

Like I say if I was a little kid, I probably would have enjoyed this, but the awful fight scenes, cliched character and just super boring dialog made this a chore to get though.

But the last scene, where Yul tries to hardest to pull up his tied down arm to cut off his hand to let the bad guy fall - he literally had to pull up an inch more and simply cut the rope but that would be logical and not as dramatic. Yeah, I feel like this was written by someone who wrote bad TV.
