"Blocking.. And music"
16 September 2020
People say this is Ghatak in his prime. He himself mentioned this to be a cakewalk for him. People "accuse" this film to be melodramatic. Ghatak told that is his birthright. Even though Ghatak always wanted to use film as a tool for revolution, but you will never find any negligence in the technical departments. Mainly two reasons why this movie - yes, we can call this a "movie" - was celebrated so much over the festivals throughout the years. Blocking is one of them, you will find superb layered scenes with multiple objects and characters placed beautifully. And music, which Ghatak would use in his latter films with different spectrum of impacts. Nevertheless, we get a different Supriya Chowdhury here, who used to be one of the divas in the then bengali film industry. Anil Chatterjee is cool as usual. Also, this movie casts a lot of prominent thespians, even Bijon Bhattacharya and Gnanesh Mukherjee. Ghatak told that this movie's success was one of the reason he stayed put in filmmaking.
