While there are a few chuckles here and there, the show just misses the mark. The show has some good foundational ideas, but it just comes off awkward and cheap in practice. And while the main cast is good, JB Smoove is just out of place as the police chief or whatever his role is. The frequent guest stars are meant to be enjoyable, but they are often just distracting.
In the end, this felt like an SNL digital short that went on for way too long, and got brought back too many times.
