Warning: Spoilers
I wish more people could or would watch this movie, because its one of the best I've seen all through the lockdown. The story involves four family members meeting for dinner on New Year's Eve, when God turns up unexpectedly (I guess it's never expectedly). He tells them the world will end at dawn, except for two survivors, which they must choose. The four main characters are all delightfully human (weird), including the grandad with his love of sex workers and cannabis, the two brothers (one insecure, and one suicidal) and the wonderful, unfaithful wife of the older brother. It's set in the married couple's old rural house, which is beautifully and madly adorned with old furniture, amazing ornaments, fascinating toys and stuffed animals. The camerawork, colouring, editing and directing are as excellent as the acting and script. My favourite line was "God's an atheist!", but the script is hilarious and thought-provoking in equal amounts, throughout the movie. It's a great study of human and divine nature. Highly recommended.
