Kind of comedy which is more suited for animated films
26 July 2020
The term 'comedy' itself is subjective. Some say 'Birdman' is a comedy which I never understood why. The reason Buston Kaeaton and Harold Lloyd comedies still look so good is because they speak the language of cinema. They use stunts and gags to look funny. To make a gag might sound easy to some but it requires a lot of creativity, the right camera angle, perfect timing and luck as well. The Diamond arm tried it's hand at it, and clearly fails.

Despite actors giving their best, the film feels lacking somewhere. Gags just don't work. Most of them are outdated. The fishing scene is weakest of the whole film. Though the middle part was the funniest. But last 20 minutes were just whack. The ending did not explain how he got his wife back. And there was no clear reason why the taxi driver was helping him.
