A rather lousy place for a haircut or a manicure!
26 July 2020
George (George Burns) is getting a haircut from a barber who keeps trying to sell him hair tonic in order to help him grow hair. The trouble is, the barber is bald! After rebuffing the barber's many attempts to sell him more than just a haircut, George has Gracie (Gracie Allen) give him a manicure....and things naturally only get weirder.

The Burns & Allen shorts of the early 1930s have a real sameness about most of them. "Once Over, Light" is no exception. The formula is the same....George enters a business and meets Gracie and she turns out to be a complete bubble-brain and he plays the straight man. Overall, no real surprises about this one....and no particular reason to see it or not see it.
