One of my favorite movies
21 July 2020
I only came across this title by being a fan of Jennifer Connelly. I looked at her film resume and saw this was one of her fist roles. Even back then she had this sort of ethereal quality to her playing a brainy high school student who gets to be meet members of congress in Washington. However overall, this remains one of my favorite movies as it seems to just have an innocent vibe to it being a teenager before Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even the internet. The beautiful filming locations with all the big trees and the leaves add to it. I'm not up with teen movies over the years but I don't think a lot of them portray the kids with as much respect as this film did.

Basically it's a story about teens learning how to grow up in their own ways by making mistakes and the normal conflicts that can develop with parents/step-parents.

It was a nice pleasant surprise as well to see some scenes filmed in the old Shea Stadium in Queens!
