Since I didn't enjoy 'Step Up 3' it took me a while before watching 'Step Up Revolution'. And boy, what have I been missing!!
After a stunning opening sequence, the film just got better and better. It is beautifully photographed with excellent editing. The characters are nice and the actors were very good. There's great chemistry between Sean and Emily, and I felt this in the performances, as well. Even the love story was believable and actually romantic, and didn't feel forced. I mean, they waited a long time before the first kiss, and when it happened, it was beautiful and effective. Ryan Guzman is well cast as Sean, and oh-so-good to look at! The film is filled to the brim with eye candy galore.
The music is vibrant and energetic, and the sound fantastic. The music and dance sequences are sensational. I especially loved the art exhibition scene. 'Step Up Revolution' is a dance movie unlike any other. The finale is awesome! I loved every minute! This was super entertaining.
