An absolutely glacial pace, and - if you intend to write a tale about romantic yearning - cast characters that might have some personal chemistry. Unpersuasive, really boring, and an ideal candidate for the way I watch a lot of art movies from Japan - hit the fast forward, read the subtitles, and see if anything worth watching eventually happens.
