There are so many things wrong with this movie. The rapper wannabe dad gets called off to deploy and these people think the family isn't getting paid? Mom sells the family car, kid has to enter a singing contest to feed the family (eyeroll)... The kid isn't even that great of a singer and this whole show was more than I could handle. Turned it off about 30 minutes in. The acting was terrible and then we had to hear Bunchy "rap" ?!? There was so much cliche nonsense I wanted to vomit.
Just avoid this mess...
