Appreciate the Coal Miners

Warning: Spoilers
This film did for me exactly what I believe it meant to do. Bring light to the importance and the hardships of coal miners. However some of the acting was plain chessy (especially the 18 year old newby to the mines) and some of the characters were annoying (how harsh the father was treating his son). Not to mention the blatant disregard of the dangers of going into the mine from both the miners and the female supervisor or whatever she was demanding the miners report to their shift. And to top the stupidity off, the group was telling the new kid a horror story about miners dying during duty knowing full well they were entering the mine with dangerous levels of menthane. It was also hard at times to follow what was going on because of the enclosed spaces. All in all it was a decent watch and nice to see the real coal miners talking about their experiences as coal miners during the end credits. These men deserve the utmost appreciation for what they do for a living.
