In a word: TERRIBLE!
5 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I stayed away from seeing this film for 24 years because I was a huge fan of the first one. The reviews and audience reaction to this sequel were so bad that I just refused to watch it. Well in this time where we are all stuck at home I finally forced myself to watch it. I wish I hadn't. It is as bad as I thought!!!

Obviously, with the death of Brandon Lee, they had to go with another character to become the vengeful crow. That's fine, but why they cast Vincent Perez as the title character is beyond me. He plays Ashe. The story is just another revenge plot having Ashe and his son being murdered by some drug dealers. Ashe is brought back by that crow to avenge the murders. In an attempt to.link this film to the 1st one, the character of Sarah is brought back to befriend Ashe in his exploits. Apparently she gas a psychic connection to the crow.

The film's look though not completely different than the first is disappointing. It's still gothic but the color palette is different, instead of blacks and shadows the look is more red and gold. It's not bad but I don't think it fits for the character. The villian is Judah, again a ruthless drug dealer. The character is cruel but completely compelling. The film is a failure on every level for me. The soundtrack is similar to the one in the original film but nowhere near as memorable. I felt that I should have stuck to my original decision to avoid this film for eternity. It was really bad.

I would say it is one of the worst sequels ever!!!
