Hardcore take off on soap operas, this film tells the story of two housewives who are constantly talking about their sexual issues. It turns out that one of the women (Laurien Dominique) is struggling with the fact that her husband (John Holmes) can't get an erection.
Bob Chinn's HARD SOAP, HARD SOAP is considered by many to be one of the greatest hardcore comedies ever made but I'm not quite sure I'd reach the area of calling this a great picture. It's certainly much better than your typical hardcore film and it really does seem that Chinn put a lot of effort into the picture.
I say that because the film isn't just wall-to-wall sex but instead there are some real characters written as well as some real situations being played out. I guess you'd say there's some creative work going on because the film does a nice job at spoofing various silly things that you might see in a soap opera and just check out the whole milk man routine.
The film also benefits from some very good performances with both Dominique and Candice Chambers standing out as the housewives. The two of them are quite fun to watch. Holmes is basically playing a supporting role but his fans will enjoy seeing him.
