Failed on so many levels
18 March 2020
Take coming out, finding oneself, double life, romance, heartbreak, childhood trauma and family problems and roll them all into one film that's only an hour and half long. The end result is a very disjointed with little to no real character development because the whole thing feels rushed. The camera work was a bit choppy and the stereotypical slightly above home movie level that a lot expect from indie movies at some points. The acting there were points I wasn't sure if they meant it to be that awkward or if it just came out that way. There were also points where the lead guy uses a what would be considered a common expression but his tone seemed to indicate he didn't understand why he was saying it. Combined with the scenes where the background is blacked out like it's not really happening yet it is happening.

I'm the end it felt like an amateur tried to take real events and create a movie but butchered it in execution.
