This was a great episode to introduce an outstanding series and its characters, as the sliders get sucked into alternate dimensions, in this case one where the communists had won the Cold War. I loved the courtroom scene and the scenes where they get sucked in (especially Rembrandt!), where Quinn's double had caused him so much trouble, and the 60s type alternate dimension. The series was classic and I loved the episode.
